Measurement of Level-of-Satisfaction of Decision Maker in Intelligent Fuzzy-MCDM theory: A Generalised Approach

چکیده
The earliest definitions of decision support systems (DSS) identify DSS as systems to support managerial decision makers in unstructured or semiunstructured decision situations. They are also defined as a computer-based information systems used to support decision-making activities in situations where it is not possible or not desirable to have an automated system perform the entire decision process. This chapter aims to delineate measurement of level-of-satisfaction during decision making under an intelligent fuzzy environment. Before proceeding with the multi-criteria decision making model (MCDM), authors try to build a co-relation among DSS, decision theories, and fuzziness of information. The co-relation shows the necessity of incorporating decision makers’ level-of-satisfaction in MCDM models. Later, the authors introduce an MCDM model incorporating different cost factor components and the said level-of-satisfaction parameter. In a later chapter, the authors elucidate an application as well as validation of the devised model. The strength of the proposed MCDM methodology lies in combining both cardinal and ordinal information to get eclectic results from a complex, multi-person and multi-period problem

Measurement of Level-of-Satisfaction of Decision Maker in Intelligent Fuzzy-Multi-criteria Decision Making Theory: A Generalised Approach
This chapter aims to delineate measurement of level-of-satisfaction during decision making under intelligent fuzzy environment. Before proceeding with the multi-criteria decisionmaking model (MCDM), we attempt to build a co-relation among decision support systems (DSS), decision theories and fuzziness of information. The so-relation shows the necessity of incorporating decision makers’ (DM) lev...

This Chapter outlines an intelligent fuzzy-MCDM model for appropriate selection of Flexible Manufacturing System (FMS) in conflicting criteria environment. A holistic methodology has been developed for finding out the “optimal FMS” from a set of candidate-FMSs. This method trade-offs among various parameters, viz., design parameters, economic considerations, etc., affecting the FMS selection pr...

The current study set to extend a new VIKOR method as a compromise ranking approach to solve multiple criteria decision-making (MCDM) problems through intuitionistic fuzzy analysis. Using compromise method in MCDM problems contributes to the selection of an alternative as close as possible to the positive ideal solution and far away from the negative ideal solution, concurrently. Using Atanasso...
متن کاملApplying an integrated fuzzy gray MCDM approach: A case study on mineral processing plant site selection
The accurate selection of a processing plant site can result in decreasing total mining cost. This problem can be solved by multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) methods. This research introduces a new approach by integrating fuzzy AHP and gray MCDM methods to solve all decision-making problems. The approach is applied in the case of a copper mine area. The critical criteria are considered adja...
